fitted the caliper on the d/s, bled it etc and couldn't get any pedal feel..it was going right to the floor, the pad is being pushed against the disc but only a little bit, looks like there should be more movement, any ideas?

Cheers

well i am a novice lol see if you're bleeding the brakes and the air is being pushed down the pipe, then when u stop pumping the pedal you can see some of the air going back up the pipe, would this be because the nipple is at the bottom?

I always thought that when bleeding you are suppose to pump and then hold and then do the nipple up again so it doesnt suck air back into the system?

yeh we did that before tightening it back up but it was like if u just pushed the pedal down once or twice the air bubbles would come down then be sucked back up

Did you tighten it back up while the pedal was held down? and then took your foot off when the nipple was done up, or did you take your foot off and then do up the nipple?

How does that work? How were you going to split the brake lines? I have to use a breaker bar to get the union off of the caliper on mine, it's also best to undo the union when the calipers are on the car...

What do u mean the union? I meant the line/pipe that goes into the hose, I presumed that was the brake line?

You would have to do both sides at the smae time to do that.

I never slacken the bleed nipple off.
Just do one side, pump pads out, do the other side!
