It's been confirmed that Chuck Norris sold his iPhone to fund a Blackberry Storm from Vodafone.

So is the poor battery life purely down to a dodgy batch of batteries Robbo?

not heard of poor battery life tbh.
on the bold, the 2 hour battery life was down to software issues, id suspect same on the storm.

Me and the missus ordered one of these this afternoon.
Nothing special in terms of contract I guess, 18 months...150 mins & 500 texts (suits us) and unlimited Internet. £30 a month all in.
We were both told (and I mean TOLD) to charge it for 16 hours straight before turning it on. So it seems there must be some sort of issue there

Not sure what you mean there.
We both got a phone each, on seperate contracts...we are both paying £30 a month for a 'free' storm handset with the contract conditions I posted earlier.

then i had a play with one in store and was sold, thought i'd give it the benfit of the doubt. i still think it could do with wifi but i seem to get good enough 3g but the only way to tell is to try it out. if i still have doubts i'll return it within my 14 days

Yeah, did a bit of phoning around for that deal.
I contacted Voda yesterday (cancellation dept) and the best deal they offered (after quite a bit of banter) was £35 over 18 months or £30 over 24.
Today the missus went to a store and got offered a pretty shitty deal, she then phoned the cancellation dept and got it at £30 over 18 months.
They seem to be shifting a fair few units...2400 in 1.5 hours this morning, I dont doubt thats why the price plans are changing so rapidly?
