i know i need a chip but just for the time being how much i should raise the fuel pressure, that i am not going to melt anything down?
okay the engine*when its ready*has to be bedded in after rebuild, but just being extra safe... or do you thing that ecu is able to cope with it?
it was before on rolllingroad, an a/f was bit lean... have to check the fuel pressures and everything of course.

anybodys own experience?

and how long you have driven with new inlet manifold without a chip?

Id say raise it bout 5% or so, the ECU will keep the mixture ok when driving sensibly but you will need a bit more fuel when blasting it as it ignores the emissions.

Should be safe to run without a chip if you get the fuel upped a bit and set up on the rollers.
Personally, id see on the rollers if it has any flatspots, if not then it probably aint worth the cost for the bhp.

im also having a/f ratio meter fitted*have it here but dont have the car*, so it should tell where it is at. ill raise it to 3.2 bar *until get it on RR*that should do it once the manifold has arrived and is fitted... will keep my eyes on the meter!!

its now in total rebuild. pistonrings,downstairs- bearings,hydraulic lifters, the whole head. it was meant to be just the valve stem seals, but like usually it was all...

the oil had dropped at somepoint so low that it had made bit bad to the downstair.

Isn't it 2bar standard fuel pressure on corsa's?
11days till my fuel pressure regulator is fitted, cant wait cos i wanna see if i get to the 150bhp mark!

what ive read its 3.0bar. might be wrong though, have to check that out!!
