RIGHT,
I have a 30gb and mrs has a min 6gb.
We want some of the same music and some different music on each.
How do i do it with one computer? Can i even do it with one computer?
I.E can i have two different profiles on the computer with diffrent music in itunes?

You could try having 2 Windows User Profiles and making the iTunes in each use a different library. It works like that on a Mac, but I can't vouch for Windows.
Otherwise have them both to manual update, all the music you want in the only library and copy the bits you want to the iPod.

alternatively, you could have manual update, then create two playlists, one for you and one for your missus.
Then when you connect yours, just send your playlist to the ipod. When its the other ipod, use the other playlist.
Make sense?

Yes, but you could still use other playlists, and it'd still show up under the Artist/Album sections.
If you use the playlist method, IIRC you can have each iPod set to Auto and just select the 1 playlist for each iPod.
