driving my 1.4 sport tonight, it got really hard to change gear wouldn't going in to 1 2 3 or 4 easy like some thing was blocking them had the clucth right down and still doing it even when the engine is off. HELP
also since i got the car the temprature thing in the centre console has stoped working any one know were the sensre is and were to buy a new one

the temprature thing will more than likely just be a fuse i would check to see if the fuse has gone
the gear thing mint be that the clutch is on its way maybe wants adjusting?????
or an oil change will probably help??????????????

gear linkage sounds like it needs adjusting. common problem with corsas. easy to do, theres a step by step guide in the haynes manual. as for the temp gauge its likelu to be that the wire thar goes to the sender has come loose. its held on with a crappy spade crimp design. look at the front of the engine to the left hand side theres a pipe that looks like an s-bend. next to this is a plug (cts) and under that is wire that should be connected to the flat, round terminal.

What millage has the car done? I got the same problem with not being able to selct gears once warm mine needs a new clutch

clutch is unlikely to cause a gear selection problem. try adjusting the kinkage.
