I have checked the cable itself and its spinning while the car is driving.
I have also tried another speedometer , without any result.
What I think it might be is that the black actual cable inside the shroud/metal housing that clips onto the clocks is not sticking out far enough ??
i.e

The middle line of dashes represents the black cable in my case , where it would normally be like :

Is that whats causing the problem ? Any way of fixing it or should I get a new speedometer cable ?
