Do fan switchese get faulty?
Mine doesn't come on until 100c ish.
Mates 1.2 SXi comes on at about half way on the temp guage. I've never replaced mine.

should come on at 99/100degrees phil. Theres probably something up with your mates fan if its coming on that early
