I am very interested in putting a turbo on my 1.6 8v,read in this months TV march 08(Santa Cruise,Mk2 Astra's,Black d reg 2ltr 8v Turbo) that you seem to be able to use an RS Turbo manifold and was wondering if anyone knew if this was a direct fit or whether it had to be modified to fit!?!
Also does the manifold off of either of the 1.7td engines bolt straight on or have to be modified!?

Any help would be most appreciated!!

i wouldnt have thought you could use an rs manifold, but you could certainly use the turbo with a custom manifold.

same goes for a 1.7td as there an isuzu engine.

I wouldn't have thought it would fit either but it says it in the latest TV,why would they lie!I also know that u could use any turbo on any car,it's jst down to the manifold, that's common sense!!

Also there are 2 versions of the diesel engine,Vauxhall and Isuzu, that's why i said either of the diesel engines!

Does anyone know anything bout my original questions,or am i going to have to face it and buy both RS Turbo and Vauxhall or Isuzu manifolds and find out for myself!?!

Sorry if my message seems confrontational, don't mean it to be,jst frustrates me that nobody can answer my question,i mean surely i am not the only person out there that's thought about modifying another turbo manifold so it can fit their non turbo'd engine!?!
