Hi Guys,
A very kind mate of mine has given me a laptop it has 512 mb from two DDR sticks at the moment. He has told me that DDR is slower than DDR 2.
The question is, if i was to buy DDR 2 could i just swap it with the DDR memory or would i need a new board to put them in?
If im chatting shit then hurl me abuse

I'd check what the max is you can have (as well as timings) on the mobo as no use buying stuff you dont need.
