Hi, does any one know where the transponder/immobiliser ecu is please

The transponder is in the keys, the pick up is round the barrel and the ECU is in a couple of places, depends on model.

tthe ecu is in the drivers footwelll then, behind a trim on the right hand side

yes m8, but isn't that just the ecu for the engine ???

There is no imobiliser ECU. It's in the ECU for the car.

Thanks, that means it won't work on my 1.7 diesel then as my diesel transponder some times works and then some times don't ???

Te transponder pick up ring is also known as Immobiliser ECU, as technically it is an ECU

you could use ur barrell an key but will need to get ur ecu recoded
|
