what oil does an X10XE engine in a Corsa B use?

Got a mate needing a top up of oil tomorrow morning, but not really got time to buy any.

Does the engine use 10W40, the same as my 1.6? If so he can use some of mine as I have loads in the garage, but if not he'll have to go buy some.

Yeah, 10w40 is the standard for the 12v.

I had an oil change done not long ago and you can use 5w30 fully synthetic but isn't really needed.

So yeah he probably has 10w40 Semi in his

My local vauxhall are going the GM 10w40 for £14.10 inc vat for 5 litres
