I think my clutch release bearing has gone.
when driving it makes a grinding noise also on idle
soon as i put my foot on the clutch it goes

i can go up and down on the clutch pedal and it goes on and off

any suggestions before i take the box off

does it sound like a power drill? if so your bearings are going!

i had a rover 214 that sounded like a power drill and i needed a new box + bearing.

My corsa isnt that bad it just grinds and rattles

replace the bearing's, and test it out? at least thats your cheapest option for now, i very much doubt it's your box from the symptoms mate!
