Hi all,
I just fitted a powerbox to my X16XE, and ive got a really high idle, when i took the throttle body off, i thought i might as well take the idle control valve out to give it a clean, sprayed some WD40 on it, gave it a wipe over with some rag and threw it back in. Engines running fine, but when i let off the clutch and put it in neutral, the idle shoots up to about 1500-2000rpm, then once the whole vehicle comes to a stop, the revs drop to 800rpm where it should be. I got the feeling its a sticky idle control valve. When i took it out, i pushed against the plunger and there was no movement what so ever, i was told that you can push it although it does have a little resistance, where as mine was solid and could not move it. Could this be the problem?
Thanks Adam
