I'm moving my 125L tropical tank to a different house.

Should I take all the water, 2/3 of it, half?

What can I use to transport all that water? I thought about those big water bottles you get with spring water in, but they're only 5L so even half a tank is 15 of them.

Help

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Could you not see if your local pet shop has 25l drums you could borrow. You'd probably want half the water.

I'd be wanting to take as much water as I could to be honest - at least 2/3 of it.

I'm just trying to think of anywhere that uses bottles or drums large enough - possibly the large bottles from an office water dispenser?

I used one of those water dispenser drums. Also if you're not moving them to a different water type area I wouldn't say you need to take more than a quarter.

I like this idea. I have loads of drums kicking about but they have had oil, chemicals etc in them so would be no good.

I'll go the aquarium on monday and see what they can lend me. Might have to buy more fish though
