Im trying to remove my SAI pump on the front of my exhaust manifold on my X14xe there is one bolt I can't undo, I think it is a female torx e-10, but I can't get the leverage to get it undone plus its rusty. Im not an experienced mechanic, any help muchly appreciated What do you suggest if I can't get it undone, as I want to blank off the SAI hole on the manifold??

Start with soaking it in WD40 for a bit.
Can you get in to shock it with a hammer?
I think I know the one you mean, think I still have the scars off the rad to prove it.

Is it any easier to go in from the top/bottom/side or use an extension to take the ratchet into a clearer space? Or use something on the ratcher as a lever

Grubz are you sure you dont mean the EGR? The SAI flange is easy to get to.

What's the point in removing the engine if it's still a cunt to get even with that done?

boiling water, blow torch, usually does the trick to remove stubborn bolts if it can be done without damaging anything

Yeh never heard of the boiling water but blow tourch depends on what metals they are as the idea is to make the thread expand faster than the bolt.

I wouldn't have thought a torch would work with a bolt tbh since you'd need to heat up the block/ head/ wherever the bolt's driven into. I've only ever seen a torch used on nuts anyway, bolts get drilled out if they're that fucked.

if theres no plastic etc around it try heating up with blowtorch for a few minutes, then spray wd40 on to it, should shock it and come out much easier

I take it you cant see the other end of the bolt? Is it into the block? You would have to try and heat the block for it to work. Anyway of getting in with air tools using extensions and a knuckle joint maybe?

Take the radiator out, and the grill. Use a few extensions, knock the socket on, once you've soaked in oil. Then undo it.
