Im doing my brakes this month so ive 100% decided on....
REAR astra disc conversion -should stop well and look great!
But up front is a bit of a dilemma....
1. 256mm astra 16v callipers and vented discs
2. V6 4 stud 284mm discs and callipers
3. Willwood superlite callipers and discs under 15" wheels.
Astra 16v brakes all round would be good but id rather the front have a hell of a lot more power than the back.
Been told that v6 callipers have very big pistons which mean pedal travel is increased cos u have to shift more fluid.
4 pots speak for themselves and have been told that theyre the best with rear discs as having two smallish pistons on each calliper face will have greater pressure on the pad with minimal fluid movement and therefore less pedal travel.
Also been recommended in upgrading servo or master cylinder as my 1.2 corsa one is allegedly too small???
Anyone running any of the above brake specs please comment.
Cheers,
JJ

unless ur running big bhp or for rally/track use then ur better off sticking to 16v or V6 brakes

all corsa servos are the same according to EPC
I may try a cavalier 2.0 servo if mine doesnt feel ok

ive luked into gettin a servo from another vaux e.g cav or astra but they are all mounted in a different way to the corsa, the corsa one is above the pedal wheras the astra's and cavs are on the rite hand side as u luk in the engine bay iirc

yes but theres still a pushing movement from the pedal linkage to the servo in a straightline movement.
The acutator fork points into the back of the servo anyhoo!
