Gf's wee cousin has a C and it wouldnt start yesterday..... his dad bought a new battery but couldnt get the old one out, old battery after a charge is fine now but does the scuttle panel need to come off? and if so how? is it glued to the windscreen? I removed the torx bolts I could see but the scuttle didnt budge

Remove wipers, remove rubber strip, scuttle lifts out.

pull it towards the front not up the way, if you get what I mean.
It's pretty straight forward tbh

Well if you can't remove a scuttle panel i suggest you leave it well alone before you crack your cousins windscreen.

u can snap the little flap of plastic off to get them out but that isnt ideal. or u can undo the little self tapper on the right of the battery that holds the scuttle, slide the scuttle forward then take the rubber off and plastics from the middle of the scuttle and you can wiggle the battery out

Scuttle doesnt need to take it out.
Lift one side of the battery up, and lift it as if your tipping it on its side and it'll slip out.
