Whats the best way to do it to make it nice n smooth like the rest of the paintwork and make sure it wont flake off?

Used that on my gilera runner 172 sanded it down smashed some of that on then sprayed it came out a treat

sand off the texture the best you can with a rough grit paper/pad i.e p80 or something... then again with a slightly finer one.... prime once or twice... then sand again with even finer stuff like p400ish....
more time you spend doing that the better the finish, 90% of a paint job is in the prep
