my old bearing was on it's way out so i got a new one and fitted it the problems am haveing it the outer bearing keep spiting all its grease out then the bearing eats it's self. on it's 2nd new one now.

the first one was fitted by a garage,2nd one by me and it just keep doing the same thing.

i know to do them up to 25 nm is that right?

any ideas?

Maybe you overtightened it

i don't see how as i looked in the haynes manual, 25 nm it says wich it what i did it up to....hence why am confussed as to why this happend.

i had this problem them got a new stub axle now its fine

going to try this myself tomorrow as this bearing seems to have welded it's self to the axle :/ was your axle shaged mate? as mine as fine before all of this.

yer it was blue /purple and it had a very little dip in it where the bearing had worn it

nah 4 bolts just have to disconnect bottom of shock as its in the way

just do the castle nut finger tight to stop any play then put the cotter pin back in. Any tighter in my experience and the bearing will destroy itself over a short period of time.

My old corsa used to distroy rear wheel bearings on the passenger side could go through 3-4 a year changed the stub axle and it never did it again
