Does this look like it needs a change? I know some brake fluid is golden when new, and it doesn't look particularly grubby. I was going to change the fluid as there seems to be a bit of travel in the pedal, but I was expecting the current fluid to look worse than this.

It's the moisture content that's important, more than 4% it REALLY needs changing. Sometimes colour can look alright (as yours does) but moisture could still be 4%.

If you don't know if it was done in last 2 years then just change it

I only ask because I thought it looked ok, pads and discs look fine too. However pedal has a bit of travel in it and brakes don't feel massively effective.
