Dad has just had 4 new tyres put on his M3 at Stapletons but they said they couldn't do the wheel alignment because the data isn't available, although they have done other BMW's. Dad phoned our local dealership and they don't give the data out to non-BMW places.

1. is there anywhere/place we can find the data as BMW have quoted him a stonking £200 for the privilege of wheel alignment?
2. this is gay and another way of a high end marque conning you.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and I know this is a Corsa/Vauxhall forum, but someone might know

So it is the 18" and 19" wheels that BMW can only do - Stapletons have had other BMW's in and managed, including dads E39 530i! So it's just the M3's which is wanky?

Also, Stapleton's said they would be able to do it if they had the data, nothing to do with not being able to physically hook the machine up.

Apparently yes, as BMW don't release them for the M3.

Am I also right in saying that £200 is a bit steep, even at a dealership for wheel alignment?
