im on a wireless network and just wondering if there is anyway to access the routers login page without knowing what sort of router it is?

neither work, I have tried a few different ones and even www.routerlogin.com like it is on a netgear one I had....

Basicly its some neighbours wireless and i wanted to try and forward some ports on the router for myself so I could download on their net which is faster

run ipconfig, chances are the gateway IP will be the same IP of the routerlogin page

If its netgear it'll be 192.168.0.1 or .2

start - run- type cmd then a dos box will pop up type ipconfig look at the ip adress for the default gateway = that will be your router

or control panel - network conections - right click on your network adapter - status- and your find the default gatway on one of the tabs

But I cant find out what make it is....
Trying to find out what the standard access name and password would be.. and fingers crossed it hasnt been changed

10.0.0.2... im sure this is safecoms way of addressing.

Try username Admin and password Admin (case sensitive on both), or try username admin and password epicrouter

If you can find out the MAC key you cant get the make.
