II guys, got a slight problem with my X16XE corsa. It has kangaroo petrol at low revs with slight throttle has done for a while but i put up with it. Now wen i sink my foot below 4,000rpm it splutters/mis fires but once above 4,000rpm its fine, sometimes get the off one off miss fire after 4,000. Ther car has had a recent service, got plenty of oil, water level is fine, Apart from the sputtering and kangarooing its great. Anyone had any similar problems, or got any ideas of wat cud be wrong, any advice or help is much appreciated. Cheers

luckily enough no i didn't, altho did wonder for a while if that was the problem, hence why i have ran about for so long.

i reset my ecu when mine did it and it stopped it.
i think its cos i put a new panel filterin and drilled me airbox and cleaned all my system out and stuff so it had the wrong settings if ya get me?
might work - plus is free!

Not the head gasket as 1 the water level isn't dropping and 2 the water doesnt smell like petrol, 3 the oil isn't like mayonaise lol. might try resetting the ECU, good plan Dan, jst dissconnect the battery yea?

i had that for weeks tried everythin an still doin it so i changed the rotar arm, leads an plugs runs sweet now

Is the engine managment light on? Mine was doin it, ended up bin the EGRvalve. Was sorted easy enough!!

Id say check your leads, or find someone with the same engine and swap leads
My mates 1.4 sport was the same, mis fired then higher up the rev range it stopped and started to pull

ECU light isnt always on, it usually comes on at low revs or at idle then goes out wen i start going again

definitely needs to go on a diagnostics machine then. will save you trying to figure out whats wrong as it will just tell you whats wrong

got it on a diag machine last night says its the air intake temperture sensor, i kno my old engine never had one(X14XE) and the wiring is a bit dodgey on the new one, funny thing is it been fine for months up until recently, well heres hoping a new one sorts it all out

Mine car does the same it kangroos at anything up 2 3000 revs but mines the corsa 1.4 sport.
my ECU light on aswel and it bin like this since i had the head gasket replaces and the Exhuat recirculation valve changed. trying to get the garage to sort it out but they just keep sayin that it lose wiring on the Exhuat recirculation valve.
