Hi Guys,
Recently just had an oil/oil filter done and topped it up with a liter of castrol engine oil...
Everytime my engine doesn't have much oil Tappets let me know about it  I have only topped it up a couple of weeks ago and have probs done about 200 miles in it since and it's run out again!!!!! 
I have a Corsa Sport 1.6 - does any1else have this problem?

thats a similar oil consuption to what ive got in the 12v and ive got a leak. it might be an idea to check for yours for leaks mate

nope... not that I know of...
However I have noticed clear/white smoke coming out of the back when I accelerate!?

could be oil seals or maybe the piston rings.

my old 1.4 was drinking oil it was the valve stem seals rocker cover gasket aswell

What you need to do is engine break from high rpm, ATLEAST over 3.5k, if the rings/valve stem seals are worn, it'll smoke.

Ok cheers, I will try that... It does seem to smoke when I am in high revs... well so I've been told!

Try it at night when a car is behind you, you can see the smoke easier then

lol, ok I'll give it a go boss.. might try it in the morning cus you can see the smoke and petrol easy when it's cold...!

They were prone to burning oil, without showing it for some reason. And faulty oil pressure lights

Def have got a prob... my oil literally is blasting out of the exhaust when I rev around 5-6k !!!!!
Everytime I overtake I can hear my tappets all dried up afterwards.... I've literally put in 2.5Ltrs of oil within the past 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!

shoved mine into second on the way home from work at 45mph to see if it made any smoke
Couldnt see anything noticable which maybe is a good sign

God damn car.... 
I think one of the problems with mine was the fact that it was left alone for months before I bought it (The bloke who had it passed away)
I think it got driven about 3 times in about 5-6 months!?!?!
Which obviously can't be good for the engine!
And I don't know how much it would cost me to have an engine rebuild (and I am a student so I'm only bringing in £500 a month!)
What should I do?
