hi
im replacing my catalytic converter at the weekend, doing it myself as its a lot cheaper. how easy is it to do???
i was quoted £140 by kwik fit and £150-200 by my garage. but to get the parts and do it myself was £72 including the converter, gasket, sleeve and bracket.

Simple theory so you can't go wrong. Get some WD40 and a hammer. Sell the old one, you should get £40 odd off a pikey
When the new one is on get it hot for an hour or so to run it in.

I fitted a new one about 2 weeks ago. It didn't get run in until my 500mile weekend, some of which at 120mph
It will smell like sulphur for abit
