I'm after a hid kit for my car, but i'm not sure what's what with them. What is the best k for road use? (i.e. 4300k, 6000k etc) also what sort of distance do the lights work up to? i mean how much of the road do they show when on.

Ive got the 6000k ones in mine and Im impressed, got them with a group buy on mig. The main beam is still a normal filament bulb though and its not worth using, its worse than the standard dip beam.
6000k give the brightest output and 8000k+ give more of a blue going into purple at the higher end 10000k+
