My car failed its MOT on emissions and their advice was to buy a new cat.
Would this be any good, would it get me through the MOT??

Its ceramic? not sure what the differance is between that and the metal one other than about £80

what sort of cat was put on last year, was it genuine or an aftermarket one?
i see this all the time when garages put cheap motorfactor cats on and there tiny. they work one year but fail again the next
