Bought my car about two months ago. and after having it about a month the head gasket has gone on it. the garage has now had my car for two weeks.... it don't take two weeks to fix a head gasket does it? i just want to know weather the garage are pissing me about?
Cuz i need my car back so i can get to work etc etc...

sometimes the head needs to be reskimmed, alot of places dont do this and send the head away to someone who can.
Should not take 2 weeks, few hours depending on the engine.

so the garage only has your car to work on n no others, head would probably been sent of to be skimmed which would probably take a week and then theyd have other work around tht two weeks sounds more thn fair, n just cos its a 1.2 dont mean its any less work than a 2.0

can be quite a big job and as others have said they may not be spending 100% of their time on your car. did they tell you how long it would take? might be worth speaking to them
