does this mean a potential smash?the car seems straight but the drivers side pillar is cracked?the other side is fine.......

i dont think 1.2 brakes could possibly produce enough braking power to set a pre tensioner off lol

Yes its more than likely been in a smash nothing to do with braking power. Check the passenger one also. Both mine went off when i hit the lorry. They go off if a sudden force hits the car either front or behind. Take bumpers off and you might be able to see.

I don't think so but then again i may be wrong. If you get a new seat then that will have an unfired one but as for the new tensioner i am not sure.

Yeah, will have had a front end bump, doesnt take much to set them off though.

You can just replace the pretensioner and seatbelt clasp bit. Did it on mine.

Needs to decelerate with sufficient force that they trigger although if one has gone and the other is OK then this may indicate that they've been triggered accidentally, ie. electrical work.

I've got a set for sale as it happens, u2u me if don't get fixed up locally.

I think Fireman Sam (Well Neil) told me the collision needs to be at 30mph?

Could be wrong...

Saying that, mine could have done and could have been replaced by the insurance company I never looked really but I thought I would have noticed when I undid my seat belt.
