Asking on behalf of a friend
He has got a coilpack type redtop, which has run spot on upto now
Started with a problem, eml on code read afm
So changed that and its better but now thier is no eml and still a problem occurs
On idle, not under load it ticks over fine and will rev up freely etc
But when driving when its warming up it will splutter (like a misfire) and run shit until its turned off and turned back on again
Now the CTS has been replaced
Thier is spark and fuel but that can only be check on tick over not under load
Im now thinking, coil module? lambda? fuel pump relay? hall sensor? (one or a series of a few) but thier is no faults shown
Any ideas?

i would go with fuel pump relay Daz, but also check that the fuel pumps not getting lazy as its an over looked factor that nobody tries!

Checked the tops of the plugs? My old xe did this sort of thing. And it turned out to be the plug tops had come loose Other than that not to sure

Plugs would suggest everything looked ok, nice browny/cream colour, and thiers spark

hmmm could be a vacume problem as this woud cause a missfire, but as Torsa said could very well be fuel pump or fuel pump relay

Check the vacuums thier all ok
the fault read afm high voltage, so i checked the earths. all sound
i describe it as misfire/lack of fuel like a car does before it sips them last drops out the tank

Fuel pump relay didnt work
Coilpack made it better
but now seems like afm problem again
Redtops aren't worth the metal their made with imo
|
