I take it I need to get insurance sorted before we can move in, however when I stick my details into Moneysupermarket they dont recognise my address because its not been released yet.
Many places give online discounts so I wont be able to get this if I phone it in?
What to do
And has anyone ever used Kwikfit insurance for their home? Got an amazing price from them!!

You might have to call, they can give a projected quote from another address on the same road/development. You can ask for the same discount as online. Worth a try.

I went through quidco.com with the AA and got an excellent premium for buildings and contents. It was £242 including some additional things such as home emergency protect, 50 compulsory excess and nill voluntary. Then I've got £50 cash back too via quidco.
Also, I had a similar problem with no one having my address and the AA were one of the few that allowed you to manually enter house number etc.
edit: link to AA offer on quidco

Condition of my mortgage was that I had to arrange it either through halifax or my mortgage advisor.

Same here but once you have the mortgage we just cancelled it and got another quote elsewhere
