Looking for a bit of help. When cornering hard my car seems to feel a bit unstable, as in before it understeers, it feels as if it wants to skip across the road?

It mainly on tarmac where there is plenty of grip, its as if the rear almost wants to start bouncing...any ideas?

Its a Corsa B with AP coilovers fitted.

for starters, corsa's down handle the best. But if you're sure something is wrong then you need to fully check your suspension system.

As dave said about tyres, it could need balancing or tracking, check that on the same axle (front and rear), the tyre sizes are the same size.

If you have PAS, check the condition of it all, check springs, dampers, bushes.

That's the answer I was lookin for as I have my suspitions that it is the EPAS. Sometimes it stops working for a couple of miles, so if it's on its way out I thought on hard cornering it may be stressing the EPAS...

It's on long sweeping bends it is more noticeable.

I don't know much about PAS as my car doesn't have it, but have you checked the fluid level? Also you checked the steering rack/track rod end?
