Hi all,
after dropping the engine mount to get a new fanbelt on

i cant seem to get the belt on, its a e16se with pas ( 1.6 8v mpi )
how do you adjust the tensioner on the pulley everytime i move it, it just springs back and doesnt loosen anymore

its about 10cm to short
is there a know trick to move it ?

cant you move the altenator to tension it?

hold the tensioner back then but the belt on and let it go.

had the wrong belt was to small, all fixed now
and its a 1.6 8v with pas in an astra they have mounted alternator brackets you adjust them on the tensioner
