My girlfriends Golf has had an aftermarket alarm and remote locking fitted, the fob still locks the doors but it's not activating the immobiliser. Car still starts fine etc.

Any ideas?

Have googled it but everyone has the opposite problem that the immobiliser wont de-activate.

The red flashing light next to the lock isn't flashing like it used to lol. Think it's for the immobiliser.
