Where do the marks on the wheel have to be set to do they face each other or do u set them to the maks on the black casing

The wheel i ment the cam shaft pulleys wher do the marks have to be set

They meet at 3 and 9 o clock positions so they're facing eachother.

Inlet _ _ Exhaust

Bottom Pulley @ TDC


When you're putting the belt on, start from bottom pulley, go up the right hand side, over the cams (you might have to put a ratchet on the inlet cam to make it central) then down and over the tensioner last.

I have done all that its all spot on belt is nice n tight started it up and it seems noisy like exhaust blowing but it aint its like that sort of noise from round the head

It starts fine just the noise ill at get a guage n try set TDC accurate and wedg the pulleys sum how n try that thanks

I sorted the noise i didnt tighten the 3 exhaust manifold bolts out by the thermo stat how would i know if its a tooth out. From my breather i have a filter on it of the rocker cover and it smokes like a steam train could that be pistons worn burning oil

Turn it by hand and see if the timing marks line up.

Smoke from a filter on the rocker is normal.
