my car today decided to idle wierd, it kept alternating between 1200 rpm and about 800 rpm, gonna take it into work tomoro to have a look at it, could it be the idle control valve?

possibly, gets some 3 in 1 oil or wd40 and clean it out, also check your air flow meter
