Recently bought some Gaz Rear Coilovers (ones without the helpers) so it's just the one spring.

I want to lower it to a point at which the spring will no longer be under tension when the car is jacked up but the spring WILL be under tension when it is on the floor.

Will there be any problems with driving like this? As in the spring slipping loose when it may become subject to a large bump for instance?

Just wanted to double check, I imagine it should be fine, just wanted to see if anyone else has this problem..
