are the vehicle speed sensor in the gearbox and electric power steering linked??

seems like iv lost my EPS since putting the engine back in... guessing its because the speedo's not workings as the VSS i took out the 1.2 gearbox doesnt work with the F15 box...?

which one do i need??

any help much appreciated

They are linked yes, the EPAS needs to know how fast the car is going to help it decide how much it needs to assist the steering, obviously at low speeds the assistance is higher.

could feel it...

which vss do i need for the F15 box then? the one that i took out the 1.2 16v box doesnt seem to work, iv checked all the wiring etc.. and it was working before

Not too sure mate, not familiar with them personally, I have bought one for my Astra with an F15 box though, it should be the same for all smallblock boxes.

Which is probably what you'll need.. allows a box normally used with a speedo cable to be electonic

I can't see why not mate, they should be sending out the same signal.
