how the fuck do you use it? im using it for mac and xbox but when it opens i dont even know where to start in setting it up

i use it for streaming films to the ps3 but they added some file protection to a ps3 update and half of the films i download and try the sound stops working.
but all i did was make sure the ps3 was on the network via cable.
run ps3 media centre and it should just find it straight away, once its found it leave the pc/mac on and use the ps3 to browse the folder you specified.
dont know if it works with a mac tho

Pretty straight forward, from what I remember though.
Run app, select media folders, browse from PS3.

think ive got it now. only annoying thing is there seems to be no password or anything. when i open my xbox i can see every computer on the network so they can see all my shit?

Whats the quality of the file you are trying to view?
It doesn't like some film formats, but you can change settings with PS3 media server so there is less quality but better performance.
Does work on Mac osx fine, I have a friend using it.

had a look in the settings, cant work it out. i'll stick to putting files on my external drive and plugging it in

check to make sure you have the latest codecs installed on the PC.
but im afraid to say to software + playstation doesnt play well with even a slightly high bit rate.
The moment you have a semi-decent rip with lots of action it'll stutter, go out of sync etc
