Basically my egr is fucked I have a 1.4 sport I am going to blank it off but I have a friend who has done it and the eml comes on when he is hard accelerating there's a kit on eBay whitch fakes the egr being there and stops the eml coming on my question is are they any good and will it work

At that price just buy a new egr you won't gain anything on standard engine

I blanked mine off on both my x14xe and x16xe engines and the light never used to come on? If you leave the egr connected ontop of the blanking plate then it won't know it's missing  but that does look like a useful bit of kit tbh, reviews look ok too

looks pointless
mine only came on if i was doing over 100 and then coasted down to 30ish
went off a few seconds later. you do need a good egr valve plugged in though. I might have one in my garage you can have for the cost of postage

new egr and dont bother blanking it... theres no gain whatsoever
|
