This is my first post so please be gentle with me.
I have a 2004 corsa 1.7 CDTi SRi (diesal) it ticks over good you can rev it at side of road with no problems but when you drive it engine cuts out above about 25 mph.
It just cuts out no lumpy running or anything. If i turn key off and back on engine fires up straight away and runs smooth.
Any ideas anyone?

EML light on? could be it cuts the engine out to stop it doing any damage to itself, but allows you to go that fast to get it somewhere to be fixed?

Thanks for advice.
No light is coming on. I have got it booked in at garage on Tuesday for it to be looked at. Hope it can be sorted without costing mega bucks. Will let you all know outcome so if someone else has same problem its some help to them. Cheers

had one of these at work a while back, was the EGR valve intermittently getting stuck. cud poss be your problem.

Could it somehow be immobilisor cutting in, as it just cuts out as thou key has been turned off. cheers

could be the egr valve but if it is the egr valve they normally show signes of falure first, like lack of power or just chucking shed loads of soot out teh back, or rough running,
what i'd do is have a look at all the turbo and intercooler pipes, i had a focus 1.6tdci at work the other day with almost the exact problem would just cut out in 2nd gear then start fine afterwars, turned out to be a intercooler pipe had split and was only aparant under driving loads.
