Hey guys,

Been working on my uncles 1.0 all night!

It broke down on him on saturday, the AA came out and said possible fuel pump.

I've replaced the fuel pump, and tested the old one - Both work fine.

Basically, the car will start and run for a couple of minutes, then just conk out, and not start again for ages.

Sometimes the fuel pump Primes and the relays click etc, other times the fuel pump just doesn't get any power or make any noise.

Before finding this out i've done alsorts, compression test, checked for a spark etc etc.

Anyone shed any light on this?
tbh its totally crazy, as it drove round the block 2 or 3 times, luckily conking out right outside home each time!

Really?

Just thought it would be something other than that because it seems an intermittant problem getting power to the pump (or so it seems)
