corsa c sri 1.8. the oil light is on but there is plenty of oil in there, slight tapping coming from right of the cams, big loss of power, not enough oil reaching the cams. anyone have any idea if this is just the sensor or the whole pump or even something else? need help

i may be wrong but i think the light is on due to lack of oil pressure, not lack of oil.

Id whip the cam cover off and see if it's dry up top. Oil might not be getting to the head.

Could be blocked pickup pipe in the sump.
