can the head and cams from a c20xe be used in a LET?
also is there any sensors that can be transferred across?
reason im asking is because i am getting a let bottom end to build an engine and complete valver off someone else...

IIRC you can use the inlet cam from a XE and retard the timing, this gives a slight performance boost.
Most of the sensors are the same, as a LET is essentially a XE with a turbo, lower compression pistons and an oil return.

yes, the head itself basically the same bar the majority of LETs will be coscast.
cams - only the inlet

I know that you can you an XE inlet cam, but i think the exhaust cam would have a different duration and cause problems.
Would it not be cheaper in the long run to shell out for the engine in one go and rebuild it

yeah maybe but i find it hard to save haha
and this way it will be satisfying to see it getting built bit by bit
can anything else be used from a c20xe?

you can run both xe cams in a let, need timed properly but they will run fine
