iv just ordered myself some of these rear coilovers and wasn't too sure what poundage springs to go for
what are people running on certain set ups/engines and whats the car used for/reasons for them...
a mates got a similar car to mine (corsa v6) for fwd drag use only and he's went for 700lb but tbh that seems insane for mine as the car weighs next to nothing at the back (can pick it up with 1 hand)
500lb's be alrite?
their 160lb from gaz direct but i have the option

yeah 700lb rears out of a 2.5 v6 with nos... im thinking of 500 rears on high compression 3l all motor...?

I ran 400's in my corsa in the rear, anything over that I'd say is good

I had 180's on mine, quite stiff but for drag use higher thee better.. Depends what you're using it for

got 500's sorted now... haven't drove it yet but seem to feel alrite...
only wanted coilovers cos as you can see the chassis legs where the spring sits has seen better days im times running out before i can get it out there
and yes mate, drag only, before anyone twists about no rear brakes haha

Why not just use a bit scaffolding pipe welded between axle and chassis??

it has been done yeah, mates where running them, best stuff to use is the bars that are cut out of the inside of the doors and iv got some fucked standard dampers kicking about somewhere to try that but it isnt always good to have it solids....
all depends on the set up i suppose... these do seem to have some bounce when jumping the back end, just not much haha
