just wanna know whats the advantages of having one? and how much do they normally cost?

You can change your fuel/ignition map for any mod you do to get perfect running.

Cost is dependent on which one you get.

lots more features, like shift light, launch control, variable rev limits etc... and its fully mappable of course.

Emerald, Dta, Mbe, Go-Tech, Omex
